Pune Warriors India, owner by Sahara India Pariwar has been pulled out the Indian Premier League for the second time. This decision came out when the firm demanded BCCI to reduce the franchise fee for Pune Warriors India which BCCI refused.
In result to which the bang guarantees for Pune Warriors India were encashed and led to the termination of the franchise of the team from Indian Premier League.
A spokesperson from Sahara confirmed " This is the firms final decision to withdraw Sahara from the IPL".
Once again after 2012 this has happend, Sahara had withdrawn the team Pune Warriors India once before also in 2012 for similiar reasons where as those differences were cleared and the team went forward.
Reportedly, Sahara has completely refused to join IPL even if the entire fee is waived. Sahara has also planned to discontinue the sponsorship from Indian Cricket Team once their contract ends in December 2013. Whereas they refrained due to the interest of the players.
Pune Warriors India was the most expensive franchise of the whole league. The franchise was purchased by Sahara for Rs.1,702 crore in 20122 for 10 years.
Pune Warriors India finished eighth in the sixth season of the IPL, winning four of the 16 matches played.
