LAIDBACK LUKE
Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen, namely famous as Laidback Luke was born on October 22nd 1976, in Manila, Philippines. He is a Dutch DJ producer and is ranked at no. 29 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ's list in 2012. Currently he is ranked at No. 29 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ's in 2012. Luke was born in Philippines and grew up in Netherlands. Before making a name in music he made his name as a graffiti artist. Luke has also worked with many artists including Steve Angello, Axwell, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Junior Sanchez and Example. Luke also released two studio albums 'Psyched up' (1998) and 'Electronic Satisfaction' (2002), also a mix album 'Windmill Skill' (2003). Crescendolls, the song by Daft Punk was remixed by Luke in 2003 for their duo remix album Daft Club. As a free covermount CD of October 2008 issue of Mixmag, Luke released his mix album named 'Ibiza Closing Party'. 'Cream Ibiza Super You & Me', Luke's next album was released in July 2011. Laidback Luke, in 2012, was nominated as the best European DJ award in the 27th Dance Music Awards.
Reportedly, there has been a rumor that Luke operates his own protein and weightgain products brands named 'iBeefer'. However Luke puts the rumor aside by stating "I've seen people tweet about that, I have no idea where that came from. That's such a joke" in an interview with Sol Republic.
